WASHINGTON, D.C.— Congressman Dan Meuser (PA-09) has successfully secured $105,000 in federal funding for the Patriots Cove Improvement Project in Wyoming County. The funding, included in the FY24 Appropriations legislation, aims to support the non-profit organization's work in empowering veterans, first responders, and their caregivers.

Patriots Cove, a 501(c)(3) organization, provides a healing environment for injured and ill veterans, first responders, and their caregivers through therapeutic outdoor activities, environmental service projects, and educational events. Congressman Meuser expressed his satisfaction in supporting initiatives like Patriots Cove, highlighting the crucial assistance they offer to individuals in Wyoming County. He stated, "These funds will further enhance the facilities and experiences offered to those who have served our country."

Co-founder and President of Patriots Cove, Jeff Swire, expressed gratitude for the financial support, emphasizing the impact it will have on providing the best healing environment for their guests. Swire acknowledged the source of the funds, saying, "We acknowledge these funds come from tax-paying Americans and we are committed every day to be worthy of the love and support we are blessed to receive." He also extended his gratitude to Congressman Meuser and his team for their tireless efforts in securing the funding.

The $105,000 secured by Congressman Meuser will be utilized for safety and improvement projects at Patriots Cove's eighteen-acre refuge, further enhancing the experience of veterans, first responders, and their caregivers. The organization remains dedicated to serving those who have served the country, with a focus on aiding in their transition back to civilian life through various activities and projects.
